As part of LUGANODANTE, FLAMEL Urban Farming is a cornerstone of our extensive commitment to sustainability, which has earned us the Swisstainable Committed - Level 2 recognition.
Consistent with our dedication, and with the aim of always serving fresh produce grown locally without the use of chemicals, we have set up a series of collaborations that now allow us to shorten our food chain and grow unique vegetables that would otherwise be unavailable.
FLAMEL can now count on multiple vegetable gardens: the urban garden in the city centre, on the roof of the historic LUGANODANTE, entirely dedicated to herbs and spices, the others located in the Mendrisio area, where vegetables are cultivated exclusively for us, without the use of pesticides.

Embracing the concept of "zero-kilometre products," we ensure the shortest journey from farm to table, delivering unparalleled freshness and flavour.

At the heart of our urban farm, biodiversity thrives. Our selection of aromatic and medicinal plants serves more than just our culinary needs.
They are key players in a larger ecosystem that includes birds, bees, rare butterflies, bats and even the hedgehogs that remain in their nursery until they can return to the wild. Altogether, they create a self-regulating habitat.
This rich diversity not only enhances our menu but also contributes to the ecological health of Lugano. Furthermore, we're constantly researching and innovating to make our urban farm more efficient and sustainable.
